Countdown To Surgery Giveaway #1 Avon Set of 3 bags

Because I am feeling extremely guilty about being away from my blog a bit, I am having a few giveaways! First up is this 3 piece bag set from Avon-perfect for light shopping and while I wouldn't say they are HUGE, they are useful if you are getting a few things.

Giveaway starts today and ends September 25th at 11:59 pm EST. Open to ALL-so yes, I will ship internationally if needed.

For your first mandatory comment tell me, paper, plastic or reusable-or a combination of the three, what do you use in your home... (sorry no question mark, keyboard not working properly due to the cat and orange soda pop! lol)

Optional extra entries as follows:

Be a blog follower +1 entry (current followers count too!)
Be a Twitter follower and tweet about the giveaway (leave a link in comment) +1 entry
Add my button to your sidebar & let me know for +3 entries
Blog about this giveaway & leave a link to your post +5 entries

Winner will be chosen by Random.org and will have 72 hours to get back to me before another winner is chosen. Good luck!

We definetely use reusable. My mom owns an EmbroideMe store and had some made embroidered for Christmas last year. They ended up not working very well though. They aren't "shaped" like a grocery bag and are too big-they work well for other things though. Have a good day. Thanks!

We use mostly plastic - because we use it for everything. Groceries, of course, but we also take them to Aldi to reuse, lunch bags, trash bags, transporting food to family events - if we need a bag, we've always got one on hand.

However, the reusable ones would probably be more durable!

I hope you are okay! Surgery? I haven't been on the blog for a long time. I hope all is well and that everything goes okay.
As for the giveaways, how wonderful but you should not have to feel bad about being away. We love you no matter what! :)

Well, in our home we use reuseable bags. The canvas ones are amazing because they don't hurt your hands when you finish shopping. :)

I hope all is well and hope to hear from you soon. Hugs!

I am SO over plastic! I've finally amassed enough canvas totes to use them exclusively (except the meat market and they use paper.) Sure hope your downtime is short~ take care.

I always use reusable!

We use a combination of paper and reusable. We use the paper sacks again though to hold our paper recycling.

We tend to use plastic, but find other uses for the bags. One of my friends crochets the plastic bags into tote bags and other items.

I use reusable bags when shopping and we use biodegradable trash bags.

I use reusable bags. If I happen to leave them at home, or don't have enough, I get plastic bags, which I then use for trash bags or to clean the litter box.

Lim said...

We're combo right now. We've recently gotten a few reusables, including two large, heavy-duty burlap ones that take up a fair amount of space, but we still get the occasional plastic bag to line the bathroom trash bin. Good luck with the surgery!

I typically use reuseable bags. I carry them around in my purse at all times. Occasionally, if I don't have them on rare occasion I use plastic

catriona_sweeps said...

It's a combination of reusable and paper.

sweepmom said...

In our house it is mostly reusable and plastic. I use reusable as much as I can. However, when I forget I get plastic and recycle them.

Lilly said...

Plastic and reusable but I don't want to use plastic anymore.
Thanks a lot.

i use plastic and reusable. i would use more reusable, but i haven't bought enough of them.

Tammy said...

We go back and forth between reusable and plastic

Tarah said...

Plastic and I want to make the switch over to reuseable. For now I am glad to see a spot at our grocery store to recycle their plastic bags.

We started a couple of years ago taking our reuseable bags with us when we go out shopping-no more plastic bags for us!

We use reusable bags for a lot of things including shopping and carrying books.

We use a combination of reusable and plastic bags. We usually use the reusable bags at aldis and get the plastic ones when shopping at other stores. At some point will switch to all reusable bags.

We use a combo of reusable and plastic bags. I'm trying to convert fully to reusable bags for but still need to get about 4 more to complete a full grocery shopping set. I've also learned to remember to put them back in the car as soon as I unload them.

colorfulcarla said...

We use plastic and reuseable, but we're trying to shift to mainly reuseable. We actually "reuse" the plastic ones for carrying things and for garbage, and we recycle them when we're finished. colorfulcarla@ gmail.com

I mostly use reusable...love my insulated bags to keep things either hot or cold. Woven bags to just carry "stuff." Sometimes get plastic bags for a small supply to use when I clean out my cats litter boxes, and paper bags for recycling papers and magazines.

We use a combination-for the most part I remember to bring my reusable shopping bags but still get the random plastics for trash can liners, and we have to put our recyclable newspapers out in paper.

sadly... mainly plastic because a)I don't have enough reusable bags (hint) and b)I use them for trash liners and pet waste or recycle them

I only have three reusable bags, so I always end up either leaving some items unbagged and trying to contain them in the car somehow, or very guiltily using a couple plastic ones. We use the plastic bags around the house or for taking the dogs on walks, or take them back to the store to be reused.

I TRY to use reusable bags and a wonderful Monogrammed Market Tote that I won here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6124255 .
sometimes though i shop without having prepared and then I get plastic bags - because they have handles and it's easier to carry a bunch of them.

Thanks for the giveaway!
